Construction is completed at my school, and we have our occupancy permits, so tomorrow everyone moves to their “regular” spaces. This means that that after care moves back into its space instead of sharing space with one of the preschool rooms. While I am thrilled to be back in our space, I’m a little terrified at the same time. Sharing space with one of the preschool rooms had its disadvantages, but its main advantage was that there were just so many activities for the kids to do during after care. Once we finished our project for the day, the kids could pick an activity to occupy them–marble mazes, blocks, legos, cars, trains, puzzles. You name it, it exists in the preschool room.
And now we’re moving back into our space. And while part of our space is the gym (so there is no lack of space), there are not nearly the number of activities to keep the kids occupied. So, I’ve decided I would really like to build up our activities this year. Unfortunately, the tough state of the economy is being felt by our school, as it is at schools all over the nation–private and public. So, my budget just does not allow for me to purchase some of my dream items. I have been personally supplementing, but with a move in two weeks that’s no longer an option. So, I have decided to put my wishful thinking out to the universe and see if anyone wants to help build my program.
I’ve put together an Amazon wish list of items I’d really love to see for the program. I’ve put a little description of what the item would be used for, and I’ve prioritized all of the items. I would really love to see the highest priority items purchased first, but I also realize that these are probably the more expensive items. So, take a look; see if you can help. Anything purchased off of that wish list will be automatically shipped to the school, so our secretary will get to see me do my happy dance every time a box comes. I know the kids will appreciate anything and everything that comes our way.
Thank you for even considering helping in this way.
